After all, it will allow you to experience this classic horror shooter in a completely different way. The end result is great, and we highly recommend downloading it from here. I have to locate functions, compare variables, stabilize pointers, write bug free scripts, play-test, etc.Īlthough initially started out of curiosity as to see what else I can do other than create a free cam and player fly mod for Dead Space (2008), this quickly grew into a first-person mod project.” “The fine tuning of this mod is what took several months. Would greatly appreciate any help so I can hopefully enjoy this game in all it's glory.ReverseEngineeringGamer has released a pretty cool first-person mod for the original/classic 2008 version of Dead Space. I hope what I tried to explain wasn't too confusing. Though, I did try various depth settings from 50%-20% but the problem was always there, just less exaggerated. Just wondering if it is possible to get every one of these elements perfect? Or are some of these problems just unavoidable? Or maybe my eyes just don't seem to work well with 100% depth. If I try to set the convergence to match either one of these elements (The pause menu, weapon cursor, fix the character glow), 1 or 2 things will always be thrown off in the process. When I'm focusing on the actual cursor/have my back against the wall/doing both, my character model will split/ghost into two. The weapon cursor looks OK when I look at walls/objects at a distant, but the cursor will split into two if I point at a wall/object that's basically 1 meter in-front of me.Ģ. ![]() Whenever I set the convergence so the mouse cursor in the pause menu aligns just right, meaning I can focus on a word and the cursor at the same time without either one losing focus (this also makes the chapter popups not flicker). I'm having a really hellish time trying to find some good settings. ![]()
